Le seul atelier de lithographie actif dans le département est à Lavardin, au 36 rue de la Barrière !
L'atelier est discret, organisé au cordeau, intimiste, au milieux des odeurs de térébenthine, d'encre, de papier pur chiffon et de plus d'une centaine de pierre de tous formats qui tournent d'un artiste à l'autre.
C'est en 2003, que Frédéric Montier, également artiste peintre et animateur de l'association de La Voix du Pavé, pose sa "bête à corne", une presse du XIXè siècle, dans la grange familiale. Dans un confort très relatif, Bernard Filippi, Jean-Gille Badaire et Philippe Berthommier jouent leur rôle d’artistes-phares et démarrent l’aventure. Artistes de renom ou plus modestes, Frédéric les accueille avec la même ferveur : "tous égaux face à la pierre qui est seule à mirer l'humain et son geste. Il faut être humble et généreux".
Dans cet atelier, hors temps, hors réseaux numérique, garantie sans intelligence artificielle, sans énergie fossile, on produit, on édite, on expose, on fait des stages.
Frédéric Montier est peintre par passion et lithographe par vocation ! Artiste et artisan, deux facettes d'une personnalité qui ont pour bien commun le goût du travail bien fait, le plaisir des gestes anciens et, en filigrane, la recherche d'un certain art de vivre.
L'atelier se visite sur rendez-vous ou pendant les portes ouvertes chaque année le 6 mai, le troisième jeudi du mois de novembre, et le premier week-end de décembre. D'autres dates peuvent être ajoutées selon disponibilité.

Salle Saint Genest (party venue)
The Saint-Genest Hall is located in the priory in the heart of the village and can accommodate up to 80 guests in a magnificent setting.
It is equipped with a kitchen featuring a professional oven and stovetop, large refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave.
